Tips for handling Jonathan products

The Jonathan waterproof and water resistant products are washed inside out in 40 degrees. An exception to this are Jonathan mittens. Mittens are not recommended to be reversed due to their technical structures. The recommended wash temperature for rainwear is 30 degrees. Wool garments can only withstand a gentle wool program of only 30 degrees.

Before Washing:

Sort clothes by color. Empty the pockets, close the zippers, the fasteners and the push buttons. Turn the product inside out (don't do this for mittens). Fill the washing machine only half full. A lower than normal amount of detergent is sufficient for outdoor clothing. Do not soak the laundry.

Don't wash outdoor wear too often!

In order to maintain waterproofness and breathability, it is not recommended to wash technical outfits too often. After each use, wipe the fabric clean with a damp cloth. If necessary, wash the item inside out and always follow the recommended temperature.

Do not use fabric softener!

Fabricsoftener clogs the fabric's microporous holes and prevents the fabric from breathing. Also, do not use bleach detergent or laundry soap.

Drying at room temperature

Dry your outdoor clothing on a line or with a drying rack. The tumble drier and cabinet dryer can be used with Star Jonathan products - with a maximum temperature of 40 ° C. Coated fabrics may lose their properties at temperatures above 40 ° C.
